What's your cancellation policy?
100% refund if you cancel within 48 hours of booking (when booked at least 7 days before check-in). 100% refund if canceled 7 or more days before check-in. 50% refund if canceled at 5 days before check-in. Optional travel insurance may be available depending on your booking — if so, it'll appear in your guest portal after you book.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Where do we park?
The driveway comfortably fits 3–4 cars. Show up with more, and free overflow parking's got you covered.
Do I need 4WD or AWD to reach Cedar Escape?
There is no specific vehicle requirement for reaching Cedar Escape. The home is located inside Massanutten Resort and is accessed by paved resort roads. A standard car, SUV, or truck can access the property under normal conditions.
During the winter months, weather and road conditions can vary. We recommend checking the forecast and local road conditions before your trip and choosing the vehicle you feel most comfortable driving in those conditions.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes — 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, per the Massanutten Village community rules. Please keep noise indoors during those hours.
House + Amenities
What's the bedroom count?
Five bedrooms across two floors, including a walkout lower level, with 9 beds total between the bedrooms and bunk room. There's also a downstairs sleeper sofa on top of that.
Are pets allowed?
No, we're not able to accommodate pets at this time.
Is smoking allowed?
No, Cedar Escape is a smoke-free property.
Are parties or events allowed?
No — gatherings beyond your registered guest count aren't permitted at the property.
Families + Groups
Is it kid-friendly?
Yes. We offer several family-friendly amenities including a high chair, Pack 'n Play, toddler dinnerware, child safety gates, and bunk beds. Please note the property is not fully childproofed, and adult supervision is required at all times.
What's the max occupancy?
Sleeps up to 14 guests comfortably.
Is there a minimum age to book?
Yes, the primary guest must be 23 or older to book.
Massanutten Resort
Is Cedar Escape inside Massanutten Resort?
Yes — Cedar Escape sits inside the Massanutten Resort community, part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association.
Are resort activities included?
No. Skiing, the WaterPark, golf, and other resort activities are separate, paid passes — not included with your home rental.
How far is Cedar Escape from JMU?
About a 25-minute drive.
